President of Benha University Inaugurates the Second Employment and Career Development Forum
“El-Gizawy”: We Are Keen to Keep Pace with the Rapid Changes in the Labor Market
Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, inaugurated the activities of the Second Employment and Career Development Forum under the theme “Start Developing… Make an Impact,” which was organized by the University Center for Career Development at the university’s campus in Obour City.
The event was attended by Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University; Dr. Gehan Abdel Hady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Taha Ashour, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Mamdouh Moawad Ali, President of the National Research Center; Dr. Ayman El-Shahaby, former Governor of Damietta; Major General Staff Hussein Farhat Mohamed, Executive Director of the Agency for the Protection and Development of Lakes and Fish Resources; MP Mojahed Nassar, Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of Nassar Group; MP Mohamed El-Nemky, Member of the House of Representatives for El-Khosous, El-Khanka, and Obour districts; Mr. Khaled Abdel Sadeq, Managing Director of El-Mohandes Insurance Company; Mr. Mahmoud El-Sayed, Chairman of Al Salam International Company; Dr. Sahar El-Maghraby, Executive Director of Mojahed Nassar Foundation for Development and Charity; along with a number of academic and administrative leaders of the university.
In his speech, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy stated that the first edition of the Employment and Career Development Forum achieved great success, as it served as a platform for communication between students and graduates on one side, and companies and institutions on the other. It also contributed to opening new horizons for job and training opportunities, while enhancing awareness of the importance of continuously developing our skills to keep pace with the rapid changes in the labor market.
El-Gizawy added that the second Employment and Career Development Forum, organized by Benha University under the theme “Start Developing and Make an Impact,” reflects the university’s vision that every student and graduate should leave a clear mark in the labor market by acquiring the skills and knowledge that qualify them for a promising professional future. He called on students and graduates to actively participate in workshops and meetings, and to benefit from the expertise of participating companies and institutions, emphasizing that self-development is the true path to making an impact and achieving excellence.
The University President also extended his thanks and appreciation to all participating companies, sponsors, and speakers who supported the forum, as well as to the organizing committees that exerted great effort to present the event in a manner befitting Benha University.
For her part, Dr. Sahar Abdel Rahman, Director of the University Center for Career Development, noted that the forum represents an integrated platform for building professional awareness among students and graduates. She emphasized that this year’s focus was on developing innovation and entrepreneurial thinking skills and linking them to future job requirements, helping young people define their career paths more clearly, whether in employment, freelancing, or establishing their own projects.
It is worth noting that the forum witnessed a wide turnout of students and graduates, along with distinguished participation from major companies and institutions across various sectors.
The forum also included a series of interactive workshops and professional sessions held on the sidelines on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29. These activities focused on developing innovative thinking skills, freelancing, and building startups, in addition to enhancing the digital and personal skills required for future jobs, providing participants with practical experience that contributes to building their career paths with greater awareness and professionalism.
