About the Faculty:

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine began its academic activities in 1981, following the ministerial decree No. 278 of 1981.

The faculty includes the following buildings and facilities:

Laboratory Buildings 1 & 2

Academic Departments Building:

This building houses the departments of:

  • Anatomy and Embryology

  • Food Health Control
  • Animal Wealth Development

Laboratory Buildings 3 & 4

Preclinical Departments Building:

Includes the departments of:

  • Pathology

  • Bacteriology, Mycology and Immunology
  • Forensic Medicine and Toxicology
  • Zoonotic Diseases
  • Virology
  • Poultry Diseases

Clinical Departments Building:

Includes the departments of:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Surgery, Anesthesia and Radiology
  • Obstetrics, Reproduction and Artificial Insemination 

Veterinary Teaching Hospital Building:

Includes facilities for clinical departments and practical training halls.

Administration Building:

Comprises offices for:

  • The Dean
  • Vice Deans
  • Faculty Secretary

  • Postgraduate Studies
  • Cultural Relations
  • Administrative, Financial, and General Affairs
  • Youth Welfare

Large Lecture Hall Building:

Includes:

  • Two main auditoriums
  • One conference hall
  • A large multipurpose hall
  • Five additional lecture rooms dedicated to students of the new specialized programs
