My dear sons and daughters, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, esteemed faculty members and their supporting staff, colleagues and staff members, alumni, and our partners in Egypt and abroad,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Benha University, one of the leading academic institutions committed to a noble mission of preparing veterinarians and researchers equipped with the scientific knowledge, professional skills, and ethical values necessary to contribute effectively to community service and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Today, the veterinary profession has become a fundamental pillar in ensuring food security, protecting public health, developing livestock resources, combating zoonotic diseases, and preserving the environment, within the framework of the One Health concept, which emphasizes the close interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health.
The Faculty is committed to providing distinguished university education that keeps pace with global developments and embraces the latest scientific approaches and modern technologies. It also places strong emphasis on developing students' skills, fostering a culture of scientific research and innovation, and integrating academic education with practical application. You are the Faculty's primary focus and foremost purpose, and you represent the hope of the future. I encourage you to make your years of study a genuine opportunity to build your scientific and professional personalities. I urge you to remain committed and diligent and to participate actively in student activities. University life is not limited to academic achievement; rather, it is an integrated environment for preparing the leaders of tomorrow.
I am confident that you are capable of achieving success and excellence and that you will become exemplary ambassadors of your Faculty and University in the various fields of work and service.
