Dear Students and Esteemed Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Food Hygiene and Control at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Benha University. This distinguished department is considered one of the fundamental pillars of the faculty, playing a pivotal role in protecting public health by preparing generations of veterinary doctors who are scientifically and practically qualified to monitor the safety of foods of animal origin.

The department offers advanced educational programs in the field of hygiene and control of meat, poultry, fish, and their products, as well as dairy, fats, oils, and eggs, through diploma, master’s, and doctoral programs. These programs are aligned with international standards and the latest scientific technologies in the field. In addition, the department contributes to community service through applied research and studies aimed at improving food quality and safety, as well as developing inspection and control methods.

We are always striving to promote a culture of quality and innovation and to graduate professionals capable of keeping pace with health and environmental challenges in the food sector. We ask God Almighty to guide us in fulfilling our mission to the best of our ability.
