Vision and Mission

Vision

The department aims to apply new anatomical techniques such as radiographic anatomy, ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging to keep pace with advancements in animal disease diagnosis. Additionally, it aims to apply organ transplantation methods between different species as a precursor to human transplantation and to apply stem cell therapy.

Mission

  • Prepare undergraduate students to have sufficient knowledge of the structure of domesticated animals and birds in a healthy state, enabling them to identify changes in affected organs as a step towards diagnosis.
  • Prepare undergraduate students to be fully aware of the location and structure of lymph nodes in animals used as human food, allowing them to inspect meat and determine what is suitable for human consumption.
  • Prepare undergraduate students during clinical summer training to be familiar with applied and surface anatomy of domesticated animals, accurately identifying the position of organs relative to each other and to the body surface. This enables optimal surgical intervention in affected animals, contributing to the preservation of Egypt's animal wealth.
