Vision of the Virology Department

The Virology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Benha University, aims to become a leading centre for expertise and consultation in laboratory diagnosis and viral vaccine preparation in virology within Qalyubia Governorate. It also aims to serve as a local hub for exchanging expertise with scientific research centres across Egypt and as a model centre for researching viruses and molecular biology.

Mission of the Virology Department

The Virology Department, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Benha University, is committed to preparing graduates who possess a sound scientific foundation in virology and the skills necessary to perform accurate laboratory diagnosis of disease-causing viruses. The Department also seeks to enhance the academic level of postgraduate students and keep pace with recent advances in the field through conducting modern scientific research in virology, while equipping graduates with the expertise needed to address and control health problems related to viral diseases.
