As part of activating the cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Egyptian Bridge Foundation for Media and Development, a veterinary awareness and training campaign was implemented at the Teaching Veterinary Hospital.
The campaign was carried out by the Foundation’s veterinary team, led by Dr. Shaaban Fayez, Director of the Veterinary Sector, alongside Eng. Hamed Abdelrazek, Awareness and Coordination Officer, and Eng. Mostafa Mohamed, Supervisor of Veterinary Services. During the campaign, clinical examinations were conducted for 20 cases, including 6 horses and 14 donkeys.
A comprehensive range of veterinary services was provided, including clinical treatments, antiparasitic medications, deworming, hoof trimming, electric dental floating, wound management, and handling of lameness and erysipelas cases. In addition, advanced diagnostic procedures were performed, including ultrasonographic diagnosis of tendon disorders and ocular diseases.
The campaign witnessed active participation from faculty students, academic staff members, assistant staff, and alumni, contributing to hands-on training, enhancing practical skills, and reinforcing the Faculty’s role in community service and veterinary awareness in line with modern scientific standards.
