Academic advising aims to enhance the student’s overall development by:

  • Assisting the student and providing information about the faculty and its academic programs through awareness of the university-approved bylaws that support their educational journey.
  • Guiding students with ethical, psychological, and social advice that contributes to their academic and moral excellence.
  • Helping new students integrate into the university environment by encouraging them to participate in various student activities.
  • Assisting students in choosing elective courses and providing them with scientific advice and experience on how to manage their time effectively to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Helping students discover their talents and abilities and guiding them towards developing these talents.
  • Supporting students in overcoming difficulties and removing obstacles during their academic progress to achieve the desired success.
  • Strengthening the relationship between the academic advisor and students, and fostering positive social relationships among peers.
  • Informing students about available educational and career opportunities, and providing them with relevant information and admission requirements to enable them to make informed decisions about their future.
  • Providing psychological support to students during examinations to help them cope with anxiety and stress.
  • Monitoring students’ progress reports throughout their studies and evaluating their performance.
  • Assisting students with disabilities in achieving academic, social, and psychological adaptation according to their abilities, addressing their challenges, and providing suitable training opportunities based on their fields and needs.
  • Supporting gifted and outstanding students by offering guidance that enhances their abilities and motivates them to continue excelling, thus inspiring others.
  • Providing care and continuous follow-up for academically struggling students to help improve their academic performance.
