Objectives

  • Supporting the faculty in fulfilling its mission in the areas of undergraduate and postgraduate education, scientific research, and community service.
  • Conducting applied scientific research aimed at identifying real environmental problems faced by the community in the fields of animal production and fisheries.
  • Supporting and enhancing production activities through scientific methods that contribute to improving veterinary treatment services, developing new preventive approaches, and ultimately increasing the quantity, diversity, and quality of animal production and livestock.
  • Promoting veterinary awareness within the community and carrying out any additional activities that support educational and research fields and improve veterinary and extension services.
  • Highlighting the role of the faculty in community service and development through the work of the hospital and therapeutic convoys in the villages of the governorate.
  • Contributing to the governorate’s development programs that primarily aim to improve reproductive and productive efficiency of farm animals raised by small-scale farmers.
  • Establishing a database for contagious, epidemic, and zoonotic diseases within the governorate.
  • Providing field veterinarians with periodic scientific bulletins and specialized training courses on the latest scientific techniques.
  • Participating in extension seminars for small-scale breeders and owners of animal production units.
  • Engaging in scientific conferences at the local level to present the scope of services provided and discuss methods for improving and developing them.
