Objectives of the Department
The Department of Biochemistry achieves a set of educational, training, and community objectives that contribute to developing students' capabilities and knowledge, enhancing biochemistry and molecular biology curricula, and participating in the development of college resources.
First: Educational Objectives
- Familiarize students with the fundamental concepts and theories in biochemistry and how to apply them practically.
- Choose appropriate methods for analyzing different samples based on available capabilities and sample nature.
- Acquire information in the field of specialization through awareness, writing, and application.
- Develop the ability to interpret results obtained from available information.
- Provide opportunities for outstanding students to complete their postgraduate studies through diploma, master's, and Ph.D. programs.
- Provide books, references, research, and journals to keep students informed about current knowledge developments.
Second: Training Objectives
- Conduct summer training courses for students on laboratory diagnostics.
- Organize workshops in the college's central laboratories to introduce students of programs and postgraduate studies to the principles and basics of medical analysis.

Third: Community Objectives
- Participate in scientific conferences by department faculty members and their assistants, both within and outside the university.
- Deliver scientific lectures to disseminate scientific culture among community members.
- Conduct scientific research and apply research plan axes to solve some problems facing the community.
- Attract and manage excellence projects funded to increase college resources.
