Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Hosts Veterinary Awareness and Training Convoy in Collaboration with the Egyptian Bridge Foundation

As part of activating the cooperation protocol signed between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Egyptian Bridge Foundation for Media and Development, a working team from the foundation carried out an awareness‑raising and training veterinary convoy at the Faculty’s Educational Veterinary Hospital.

The foundation’s team included Dr. Shaaban Fayez, Head of the Veterinary Sector at the Foundation; Engineer Hamed Abdelrazek, Awareness and Coordination Officer; and Engineer Mostafa Mohamed, Supervisor of Veterinary Services. During the convoy, veterinary examinations were conducted on a total of 31 cases, including 15 horses and 16 donkeys.

A wide range of veterinary services was provided, encompassing clinical treatments, antiparasitic medications, deworming vaccinations, hoof trimming, dental filing, wound management, and handling of lameness and erysipelas cases. In addition, tendon diseases were diagnosed using ultrasound imaging, eye diseases were assessed using ultrasound, and dental care was performed using an electric dental filing device.

The convoy was carried out with the participation of a number of faculty members, supporting staff, students, and alumni of the Faculty, reflecting the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to veterinary training, community service, and strengthening partnerships with civil society institutions.

Benha University President: Classes Suspended and Exams Postponed Today Due to Severe Weather

Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, has decided to suspend classes and postpone midterm exams today, Thursday, due to severe weather conditions, in order to ensure fairness among students.

The university president stated that deans of faculties have been instructed to continue lectures via online learning according to the announced schedule. He noted that exceptions apply to medical staff, university security personnel, dormitory staff, employees in occupational health and safety departments, on-duty staff, and other employees whose presence is necessary to ensure proper management of university and faculty operations.

  • The exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed within 30 minutes from the moment you start the exam until finishing Question 20.
  • The exam will be available on the platform for 3 hours per level to avoid overcrowding and prevent system outages.
  • Students are allowed to log in at any time within the 3-hour window.

Exam Schedule

  • First and Second Year: from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Third, Fourth, and Fifth Year: from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Important Notes

  • Courses that are not available on the platform will be examined in paper format داخل exam halls.
  • Lectures and sections will continue as scheduled during the midterm period, except on:
    • Thursday and Saturday, April 16 & 17, when paper exams will be held in exam halls.
  • Students taking retake exams are not registered on the platform and will take their exams in paper format at their academic departments.
  • The midterm exams will start on Monday, April 6.
