Continued Implementation of Veterinary Convoys at the Educational Veterinary Hospital in Cooperation with the Egyptian Bridge Foundation for Media and Development
In implementation of the cooperation protocol signed between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Egyptian Bridge Foundation for Media and Development, a working team from the foundation carried out an awareness‑raising and training veterinary convoy at the Educational Veterinary Hospital of the College.
The foundation’s team included:
- Dr. Shaaban Fayez, Director of the Veterinary Sector at the Foundation
- Eng. Hamed Abdelrazek, Coordinator and Awareness Officer
- Eng. Mostafa Mohamed, Supervisor of Veterinary Services
During the convoy, 45 animal cases were examined, including 15 horses and 30 donkeys. A wide range of veterinary services was provided, including:
- Clinical examinations and medical treatment
- Administration of antiparasitic drugs and deworming
- Hoof trimming
- Dental floating and electric dental rasping
- Wound treatment
- Management of lameness and erysipelas cases
- Diagnosis of tendon diseases using ultrasound
- Diagnosis of eye diseases using ultrasound
The convoy was conducted with the participation of college students, faculty members, supporting staff, and alumni, contributing to practical training, professional development, and community service.
