Food Analysis Center Completes Series of Training Courses for Students and Graduates

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Dr. El- Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Amany Abbass, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Awad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Food Analysis Center at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine completed a series of training courses for students and graduates. The courses were supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Director of the Food Analysis Center.

The training focused on introducing participants to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System, and the application of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) system in food establishments. The ISO 22000 system is a global standard in food safety that helps companies export their products by examining production stages from raw material intake to the final product.

The training also included educating veterinary doctors on the elements required to implement the HACCP system, its initial steps, and the seven key elements for its application. Additionally, participants were trained on GMP in food manufacturing facilities, factories, restaurants, and all places specialized in food production and preparation. The courses emphasized the principles and steps for manufacturing and preparing food materials of all types, ensuring they are free from pathogens and of high quality to compete in local and international markets.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Dr. Gehan Abd Elhady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Researches, Prof. Dr. Amany Abbass, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Abdelfattah Selim, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Researches, the Information Technology Unit at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a specialized workshop on using university email for administrators. The workshop took place on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

The workshop aimed to equip the administrative staff in the postgraduate sector with the skills to use university email efficiently, which contributes to improving official communication and speeding up administrative tasks. The event included a detailed explanation of how to manage electronic messages and use associated applications to enhance productivity in the academic work environment.

This activity is part of a series of training courses organized by the faculty to support digital transformation and develop administrative performance in line with the University's strategy towards modernization and innovation.

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Organizes a Meeting and Workshop with Ram Feed Manufacturing Company

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Fouda, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Gehan Abd Elhady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Researches and Acting Vice President for Education and Students, and Prof. Dr. Amany Abbass, Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a meeting and workshop for students and graduates in collaboration with Ram Feed Manufacturing Company. The event was attended by Mr. Rami Mohamed Ali Zaher, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company.

The workshop was titled "Developing Students' and Graduates' Skills in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Employment." The company's team presented several presentations on marketing strategies in the Egyptian market, including new techniques in authentic and effective marketing to achieve credibility with customers through direct marketing or social media. They also discussed research and development methods based on practical experience and familiarity with scientific and technological challenges in the feed industry to lead excellence in this sector.

Additionally, the company provided an explanatory presentation on the manufacturing processes that keep pace with all that is new and distinguished, including the processing of different formulations for producing various types of animal feed and how they work. Students listened to a presentation on the quality and specifications of feed according to internationally approved standards for feed manufacturing, adhering to regulated and committed standards of quality and effectiveness by applying quality principles to ensure the nutritional value needed by animals in feed and guaranteeing the absence of contaminants to achieve food safety.

On the sidelines of the workshop, Mr. Rami Zaher offered several training opportunities for the college students at the company, as well as providing job opportunities for graduates of the academic year 2024/2025.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Hossam Fouad, Vice Dean for Education and Students, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Awad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and several department heads, faculty members, and supporting staff. The workshop was presented by Dr. Amany Ismail Ibrahim, Marketing Director, Eng. Hamdi Ismail Mohamed Khafaji, Research and Development Director, Eng. Anas Hussein Abdel Monem Sabaa, Quality Director, Eng. Ahmed Samir Abu El-Fotouh, Production Director, and Prof. Islam Abdel Fattah Kamel Abdo, Human Resources Director.
