Minister of Higher Education chairs the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities at the Benha University Headquarters in Obour
The Supreme Council of Universities held its regular meeting at the headquarters of Benha University in El-Obour, the meeting was headed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific and in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary of the Council and members of the Council. The council thanked Benha University staff that headed by Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President to host the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities. The Minister of Higher Education confirmed on the readiness of all universities and institutes for the second semester exams for the academic year 2021/2022 .He also stressed the necessity of the commitment of faculty members and their assistants to attend exams to ensure discipline and the successful conduct of exams process. The Minister also stressed that all students must adhere to precautionary and preventive measures throughout their stay on the campus, noting the need to wear a medical mask "the mask", adhere to social distancing and bring all personal and written tools, as well as not Being inside the university campus after completing exams, in order to preserve the safety of students and all other members. The Minister also directed to raise the state of readiness of university hospitals during the exams period at the end of the current academic year. The Minister directed that all faculties should quickly finish announcing the results of the exams at the end of the second semester of the 2021-2022.
To Check Health Service; BU President inspects Benha university Hospital and distributes Gifts and Flowers on Dialysis Children
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President Benha University hospitals to check the medical service at various departments. During the tour, Benha University president was accompanied by Prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs , Dr. Mohamed Gamal El Ashhab , the Faculty of Medicine dean ; the general manager of Benha University hospitals , Dr.Amr El-Dakhakhny,the Executive Director of Benha University Hospitals, and Dr. Mohamed Shaker, the general director of the hospital.
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa and his companions distributed gifts and flowers on Dialysis Children and he also inspected the children's intensive care unit. On his part, Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa said that Benha University Administration is keen to support its University Hospitals as it is part of its societal role and to provide a decent medical service to our people from Qalyubia governorate and the neighboring governorates. During his tour, Dr. Gamal Sosa praised the regularity of work, applying the precautionary measures inside the University Hospital so he thanked the medical and nursing staff and those who provide health care at Benha University Hospitals in carrying out their duty towards patients.
Benha University receives the Applicants for the Leadership Positions
The Leadership Selection Committee in Benha University has held interviews today to the applicants for the University leadership positions which include the renewal for the following positions; general manager of Youth welfare, general manager of University hostels, general manager of Public Relation and Scientific Affairs, general manager of Engineering affairs and general manager of Education and Student Affairs.
It is worth mention that the Leadership Selection Committee has held its interviews under auspices of Prof. Dr. Sosa, Benha University President, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches' Affairs Prof.Dr.Ashraf Shams El Din , Faculty of Law dean, Prof.Dr.Amr Mustafa , Faculty of Agriculture dean at Cairo University and Dr.Hany Mahmoud , the professor at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and other members. Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa and other members of the committee listened to the proposals and ideas of applicants, their way to manage the sectors they applied for, their vision for development, the speed of work completion, the ability to make decisions and solve problems.
Benha University hosts the meeting of the Supreme Council for Graduate Studies and Research
Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and Dr. Muhammad Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities witnessed meeting of the Supreme Council for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs for Public Universities, which was held at the headquarters of Benha University in Obour. The meeting was held in presence of Prof.Dr. Mostafa El-Naggar, President of Matrouh University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Azzouz, President of Luxor University and Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice President for Post graduate Studies and Scientific Research. For his part, Dr. Gamal Sosa expressed his happiness for hosting the meeting of the Supreme Council for Graduate Studies Affairs and he welcomed all the attendants. In his speech, Dr. Gamal Sosa reviewed Benha University history, faculties, vision, mission, and scientific research capabilities, in addition to providing an overview of Al Ahlia University in Obour.For his part, Dr. Nasser El Gizawy said that the meeting discussed some topics related to the sector of postgraduate affairs and research in public universities.
BU President appoints New Heads of Departments at Benha University Faculties
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has issued several decrees to appoint new heads of departments at several faculties as following; Dr.Naglaa Mohamed Abd El Gawad has been appointed as a head of History department at Faculty of Arts, Dr.Ibrahim Mohamed Rida has been appointed as a head of Cardiothoracic Surgery Department at faculty of Medicine and Dr.Nasser Ali Abd El Naby has been appointed as ahead of Arabic department at Faculty of Arts.
For his part,Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa congratulated them frothier new positions and hoped for them best wishes and great success.
Benha University launches the New Course of International Publication and Citations Rewards, January 2022
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice President for Post graduate Studies and Scientific Research announced about starting apply for the new course of International Publication and Citations Rewards, January 2022 which will be started from Monday, January 10, 2022 for two months.
He added that the papers accepted in this course are those that were published during the years 2020 and 2021, and have not been submitted during the previous courses and the number of citations will be calculated based on the last 5 years, according to the declared calculations of faculty member on Google Scholar; referring that anyone who has a Google Scholar account for paper that does not belong to him or who submitted research previously paid financial rewards for it in previous courses, will be blocked from the rewards of the University 's programs for researches support.

Ministerial Decrees for renewing Appointment of General Directors at Benha University
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research has issued new ministerial decrees to renew appointment of several directors at Benha University.
Prof. Gamal Soussa, Benha University President mentioned that the ministerial decrees includes the following; Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim has got a renewal at his position as the general director of Legal Affairs at Benha University, Omar Mohamed Monieb has got a renewal at his position as the general director of Public Relations and Media and El Sayed El Moghawry Mohamed has been appointed as the general director of Faculty of Education. Prof. Gamal Soussa hopes for them best wishes and great success at their positions.
Benha University participates in the Second International Exhibition for Defense and Military Industries “EDEX”
A delegation from Benha University, headed by Prof. Gamal Sousa, President of the University, Dr. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, number of deans of faculties and students participated in the activities of the Second International Exhibition for Defense and Military Industries “EDEX”. Benha University delegation toured the exhibition pavilions, in which major Egyptian and international companies working in the field of defense industries participated with the latest equipment, technologies and security and defense systems.
It is worth mentioning that the second international exhibition for defense and military industries “EDEX 2021” was held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center, where the opening of the exhibition was witnessed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Lieutenant-General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and a number of Ministers and military delegations from different countries of the world.
Benha University wins the Second Place in the Intercontinental Traditional Karate Championships
Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President received the student Ganat Allah Morsy, the student at the second year at Faculty of Physical Education who won the second place in the Intercontinental Traditional Karate Championships.
The meeting was held in presence of Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs, Dr. Nasser El Gizawy , the Vice –President for Post Graduate Studies Affairs , Dr.Osama Salah , the Faculty of Physical Education dean and Dr.Khalid Essawy , the general coordinator of student activities . Dr. Gamal Sousa said that we are proud of such honorable models from students of Benha University, congratulating the student on the results she achieved during the championship activities, stressing that the university will support her in all the upcoming champions. Dr. Gamal Soussa stressed that Benha University is keen to support outstanding students and encourage them to engage in sports activities that create conscious, enlightened and productive youth who work for the benefit of their community and country.
Benha University celebrates International Anti- Corruption Day with Administrative Control Authority (ACA)
Benha University organized a celebration yesterday on the occasion of International Anti- Corruption Day by cooperation with Administrative Control Authority (ACA). The celebration was held in presence of Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President, Major General Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia ,Major General Khalid Abd El Latif , Head of ACA in Qalyoubia , Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Researches' Affairs,Prof.Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students` Affairs , and Dr. Khalid Esawy, the General Coordinator for Students' Affairs .In his speech, Prof. Dr. Gamal Sosa confirmed that corruption is the scourge of all ages and it must be combated in all its forms and assured that anti- corruption must be a priority for all institution at all countries around the world whether it was developed or developing countries. He also added that corruption is the disease that must be treated to get rid of its negative effects.
For his part, Major General Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, said that the International Anti-Corruption Day is a real opportunity to raise the awareness of Benha University students', deepen their knowledge of issues related to preventing and combating corruption, to shed light on the dangers of corruption and its consequences for economic development in Egypt and the world too. He also added that Egypt has begun a new era of fighting corruption and will not accept the corrupt or remain silent about their failures, as the national strategy to combat corruption has been launched during the era of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. El- Hagan also said that Administrative Control Authority (ACA) exerts tangible efforts in combating corruption and that had a great impact in preserving state resources, preserving its prestige and the rule of law, and supporting political reform and sustainable development efforts to provide a better life for current and future generations.
In his speech, Major General Khaled Abdel Latif, head of ACA Office in Qalyubia, expressed his thanks to Benha University for their participation in the International Anti-Corruption Day celebration, noting that Benha University was a pioneer in implementing the objectives of the national anti-corruption strategy and an important model in educating students about matters related to corruption as they are the future and hope of the state.
