Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, the University president announces that the university has ranked between 301-350 among 790 international Universities. The University also ranks the 7th position among 29 Egyptian universities that have appeared in the British Times ranking for the young universities 2022 and it is noteworthy that this comes in the third row.

Benha University has ended the proceeding of the camp of "future leaders 8" that aims at developing the young leaders in the leadership development center in Moshtohor under the auspices of prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, the university, prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of education and students affairs and prof.Dr. Mohamed Abu Salim, the supervisor of the leadership development center. Benha University is going to organize the first Egyptian Hackathon about smart cities at the level of the State in the period from 24 to 26 March, 2022. The Hackathon is going to be held under auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in cooperation between the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research and Amazon Web Services. Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President said that Benha University's keenness on this important event comes from the belief in the role of higher education and scientific research in supporting digital transformation. He also added that the constant work aims to achieve the objectives of Egypt's Vision 2030 by shifting towards a knowledge-based digital economy, encouraging innovation, research and development.
He also mentioned that holding the first Hackathon in the field of smart cities comes with the purpose of promoting and motivating young programmers and people with ideas and visions to present their smart ideas and their projects that contribute in improving the level of constructing buildings and controlling cities, as well as the keenness to contribute at constructing the New Administrative Capital to be the first smart city in Egypt.
Benha University president has mentioned that the Hackathon will witness a race among participant teams of students from both public and private Egyptian universities who are going to work on finding innovative solutions in various fields such as; smart buildings, smart facilities, smart parks, smart transportation, smart traffic, smart hospitals, smart recycling, smart monitoring, smart energy, smart management, smart schools and smart universities. It is noteworthy that the winners of the Hackathon will receive financial prizes totaling 100,000 Egyptian pounds which provided by Benha University, in addition to valuable prizes provided by Amazon Web Services. The winners will also have a great opportunity to market their innovations to the Egyptian private universities.

The First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science is going to be held in the period from 7-8 of May, 2022 under auspices of Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa added that the conference comes within the framework of Benha University's keenness to link the outputs of scientific research with industry. He also mentioned that the university seeks to qualify scientific competencies that are able to achieve society progressing and achieve requirements and needs of sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030.For his part , Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research confirmed that the conference will discuss four main points as following : Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Clinical and Health Medical Sciences and Basic Sciences. He also mentioned that 80 scientific researches will participate in the conference. El Gizawy pointed out that the conference aims to build the capacities of young researchers and graduate students in order to achieve the University's vision, mission and strategic objectives. Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has launched Student Research Exhibition for the first year at the Great Hall of Commerce Faculty . Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President inspects the New Buildings of the University at El Obour Campus. He followed up the percentage of completion in the buildings. He also thanked the project's consultants and engineers for quality, commitment to the schedule and confirmed on quality of implementation and the necessary equipment according to the approved specifications.
