BU participates in the Virtual Forum of AAU

Under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - Benha University President "BU", the University participated in the Virtual Forum for the African Higher Education Institutions which held by the Association of African Universities "AAU" at Alazher University.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that BU was represented by Prof. Ahmed Youssef, the Director of the International Students Unit and Prof. Mahran El Naggar, the Director of the International Relations Office.
El Gizawy added that AAU is the voice of higher education in Africa and the Forum is considered an opportunity for consultation, exchange of information and cooperation between higher education institutions in Africa. He also said that the Forum aims to provide the opportunity for African higher education institutions to communicate and acquaintance by introducing each institution to itself in order to enhance cooperation between African higher education institutions and achieve the development for the African continent.

The Stanford University has released a list that represents the top 2% of the world scientists. The exhaustive list has nearly 160.000 scientists from 149 countries based on Scopus in 176 disciplines as the following link:https://esee.ly/vxpU2T
Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University "BU" President said that 14 scientists from BU have got 7 ranks in various scientific fields according to the list of Stanford University for World's Top 2% Scientists.
In this regard, El Saeed congratulated the University's scientists named in the World's Top 2% Scientists' List wishing more success for them during their careers.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the appearance of some BU scientists in this international report is a significant achievement for the researchers of BU, as it indicates the quality of their research outputs, referring that the report depends on the Scopus database of Elsevier, which published recently in the PLOS Biology and classified into 22 scientific disciplines and 176 sub- disciplines.

The Entrepreneurs Club - Technology Innovation Commercialisation Office - Benha University (TICO) organized, with collaboration of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, 3 days free training program on "How to write Smart Business Plan for Startups" under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed, the University President; Prof. Tamer Samir, the University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs; and Prof. Gamal Sousa, the Supervisor of the University Sector of Community Service and Environment Development.
It is worth mentioning that the training comes as a celebration on the occasion of the Global Entrepreneurship Week "GEW" to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and introduce the existence of other job opportunities available that are unfamiliarity, so that the university graduates will be part of creating a new business environment in Egypt and providing job opportunities as well as enhancing the spread of self-employment culture.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology "MCIT" announced for "Future Work is Digital" Initiative which aims to train the young Egyptians on the fields of Developed Information Technology in one of the following disciplines: (Website development, data analysis, and digital marketing). It is worth mentioning that the Initiative is one of the strategic initiatives of "MCIT" powered by Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) with collaboration of Udacity to achieve Egypt's digital vision and building the abilities of the Egyptian human. Benha University "BU" participated, under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - BU President, in the Heritage and Silk Road Contest held on the sidelines of the University Alliance of the Silk Road "UASR" meetings at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan throughout Zoom Application.
Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, BU Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that BU is the only African university participated in this Contest with a video designed by Student/ Mustafa Ayman Mustafa, from the Department of Chinese Language, Faculty of Arts.

Benha University is participating in the Annual Forum of the University Alliance of the Silk Road "UASR" Presidents, as Member of the Executive Office of the Alliance, which hosted online by Xi'an Jiaotong University - China and Politecnico di Milano - Italy in the duration from November23 to 27, 2020 and with participation of 60 universities from all over the world who are members of the Alliance.
It is worth mentioning that Benha University is represented by Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Postgraduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs on behalf of Prof. Gamal El Saeed - the University President.
In this regard, El Gizawy said that the Forum will discuss during its holding days many important topics, including the mission of universities and their role in community security, how the Corona epidemic effects on the future of universities, the security of natural systems, the economic and social impact of natural disasters including the effects of epidemics and climate changes, in addition to the security of cyberspace and its relationship with protect privacy, security for the public health, and Coronavirus prevention.

Under the auspices of Prof. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President; the University participated in the Virtual Forum for Higher Education between China, France, and Africa which organized by the Chinese Wuhan University in the duration from 29 to 30 October 2020 under the title of " Higher education under the impact of the Corona epidemic". The forum included two main topics, namely the development of teaching methods in higher education and the possibility of using international relations between educational institutions in training their employees. The official language of the conference was French.

Within the framework of Benha University's endeavor to accredit its faculties from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAA); Prof. Gamal El Saeed, the University President chaired the Board Meeting of the Quality Assurance Center in the presence of Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs.
During the meeting, the University President congratulated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for renewing its accreditation for the second time and urged the Board of Directors to continue providing technical support and organizing simulation visits to all the faculties to qualify them for the institutional and program accreditation depending on the nature of each faculty and the number of its programs.

The Management of Supporting Excellence "MSE", the Project Management Unit "PMU" at the Ministry of Higher Education has announced for the final version of the form to apply for the Competitive Excellence Project of Higher Education Institutions "CEPHEI", 4th edition through the website:http://heep.edu.eg aiming to create a competitive environment to distinguish between scientific and administrative departments, academic programs, as well as research and service activities inside the educational institution and between educational institutions inside and outside the university on the other hand.

The Project Management Unit "PMU" at the Ministry of Higher Education has announced for the final version of the form to apply for the Center of Support and Qualify Students for Entrepreneurship and labor Market "CSEM-1" through the website: http://heep.edu.egaiming to meet the labor market requirements from the skills of higher education graduates, develop self-skills, and support scientific and creative thinking.
