A Scientific Conference at Benha University in Sep27-28, 2020
In the light of keeping pace with scientific and technological development in the field of applied sciences and using it in the sustainable development; the Faculty of Science, Benha University will organize its annual conference about the applied arts and the sustainable development under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President in the duration from Sep27 to 28, 2020 at the University Great Celebration Hall. In this regard, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ‘Affairs said that the conference will be organized with taking all the appropriate precautionary measures, adding that the conference aims to exchange experiences among the participants and present the latest applied scientific researches that achieve the goals of sustainable development
Training Course for Faculty Members on "Laboratory Safety
The Faculty and Leadership Development Center "FLDC" at Benha University organized a training course about "Laboratory Safety" withing the training programs provided by the Center during current September. It is worth mentioning that the course had been held under the patron of Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, the University President. In the same context, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches ' Affairs said that the course discussed the concept of the laboratory safety and the rules security in laboratories
Scientific Research at BU on "Hybrid Electric Power"
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs pursued at the Faculty of Engineering in Benha one of the research projects funding by the University and aiming to produce renewable energy.
El Gizawy said that research project aims to produce hybrid electric power units from solar and wind energies that can be used in tourist villages on the northern coast or on the Red Sea coast.
Tamer Samir appointed BU's Vice-president
Prof. Dr. Gamal El Saeed, Benha University President announced for the republican decree to appoint Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir as the University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs.
El Saeed congratulated Prof. Dr. Samir, wishing him continued success in his new position.
El Saeed also thanked Prof. Dr. Hussien Almaghrabi, the former Vice President of the University, for his sincere efforts at work.
It is worth mentioning that Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir was the Vice-dean for Education and Students` Affairs and the professor at the Faculty of Engineering - Shubra
BU runs the Electronic Exams Center
The Electronic Exams Center, Benha University has conducted the first experimental electronic test for the students at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In this regard, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah, the Center Director said that all necessary preparations and equipment have been completed, including the connection of the communications network and the Internet.
It is worth mentioning that the Electronic Exams Center has 700 computers on 12 computer labs to conduct electronic exams for 700 students in same time and all laboratories are equipped with CCTV.
El Gizawy and Samir receive the University Affairs Officer of the Palestinian Embassy
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, the University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs and Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir, the University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs received Mr. Selim Mousa, the University Affairs Officer of the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Yousef, the Director of the University Foreign Students Affairs and Prof. Dr. Mahran El Naggar, the Director of University International Relations Office.
In this regard, El Gizawy said that the meeting discussed the academic situation of Palestinian students at the University, whether at the level of undergraduate or postgraduate studies indicating that all support is provided to Palestinian students.
Research Study between BU and Manchester University Hospital
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs said that the Researcher/ Samar Mahmoud, the Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine has got the doctoral thesis about " Stem cell transplant" throughout a joint supervision scholarship obtained to the Researcher within the Newton-Mosharafa program, where the Researcher completed her studies at Manchester University Hospitals for Children in England.
It is worth mentioning that the supervision committee from the Egyptian side: Dr. Mohamed El-Bakry, the professor of pediatrics at BU and former head of the department, Dr. Sameh Zaki, the lecturer of pediatrics at BU, and from the British side: Dr. Robert Wayne, professor of pediatric hematology at the University of Manchester in England.

The Higher Committee of Egypt Government Excellence Award at Benha University announces the opening of the nomination for the Award for the following categories:
- Institutional Creativity and Innovation Award.
- Distinguished Government Leaders Award.

Research Cooperation between BU and the University of Bristol
Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Researches' Affairs said that a group of scientists from the University of Bristol and Benha University used salt water to cool the photovoltaic units with the aim of developing a system for cooling solar cells by using materials saturated with sea water adding that this development came after a series of scientific papers published by same research team using pure water.
It is worth mentioning that the two Universities signed last July a memorandum of understanding within the framework of joint cooperation between them in the academic and research fields.
