Benha University organizes the First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science
The First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science is going to be held in the period from 7-8 of May, 2022 under auspices of Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President and Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa added that the conference comes within the framework of Benha University's keenness to link the outputs of scientific research with industry. In addition to supporting, motivating and appreciating the distinguished faculty members and young researchers. He also mentioned that the university seeks to qualify scientific competencies that are able to achieve society progressing and achieve requirements and needs of sustainable development and Egypt's vision 2030.For his part , Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research confirmed that the conference will discuss four main points as following : Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Clinical and Health Medical Sciences and Basic Sciences. He also mentioned that 80 scientific researches will participate in the conference. El Gizawy pointed out that the conference aims to build the capacities of young researchers and graduate students in order to achieve the University's vision, mission and strategic objectives. He added that the conference also comes within the framework of the University's Postgraduate studies and research sector's keenness to integrate scientific research with industry by establishing technology incubators that invest in the outputs of scientific research and provide an appropriate environment for scientific research.
Benha University launches the First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has launched activities of the First Annual Conference of Post Graduate Studies for Applied Science which was held by cooperation between Post Graduate Studies sector and The Board of Directors of Benha Journal of Applied Sciences. The Conferences is going to be held in the period from 7-8 of May, 2022 under auspices of Dr. Ali Shams El-Din, former president of Benha University and Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research , Dr. Tamer Samir, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi, supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, and Dr. Samir Hammad, Deputy Governor of Qalyubia, a number of college deans, and Dr. Ghada Amer, Faculty of Engineering Deputy for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs. In his Speech, Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President stressed that the Egyptian state, with its various academic and research institutions, is keen to adopt the concept of innovation and creativity and encourage scientific research. He also added that Benha University is committed to its role in the society and seeks to achieve the University Vision and mission in developing and solving problems of its society , providing a stimulating environment for teaching, learning and scientific research and maximizing partnership with the local and regional community and linking its strategic and research plan to the state's strategic objectives and Egypt's Vision 2030, in a way that serves the national economy, national projects, and the state's policy towards sustainable development. Benha University President launches Student Research Exhibition
Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, Benha University President has launched Student Research Exhibition for the first year at the Great Hall of Commerce Faculty . The Exhibition has been held in presence of Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Tamer Samir, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr.Sohair Sharaway, the Former Vice President, Dr. Samy Ghonemy, the Faculty of commerce dean and Dr. Khalid Esawy , the general coordinator of students activities . For his part, Dr.Gamal Sosa mentioned that the Exhibition aims to raise the level of its students' projects to entrepreneurship and to apply ideas of distinguished student projects among the academic community at the University and the industrial and business men in Qalyubia Governorate. In his speech, Dr.Gamal Sosa mentioned that Benha University seeks to establish the Gifted Care Center that it aims to discover the talented and provide a stimulating environment for them within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic, to care of talented.
El Qalyubia Governor and BU President inaugurate the Wheat Harvest Season at Faculty of Agriculture
Major Genera l Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, and Dr. Gamal Sosa, President of Benha University inaugurated the Wheat Harvest Season at Faculty of Agriculture in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi, the Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zabalawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the Faculty of agriculture deputies . The governor of Qalyubia and the University president listened to a detailed explanation from the supervisor of the community service and environmental development sector and the Faculty dean about the wheat harvest season in the Faculty farms, where the cultivated area with wheat reached about 15 acres. For his part, the Governor of Qalyubia praised the fruitful cooperation with Benha University in various fields and sectors that aim to serve the people of the governorate. He also stressed the governorate's interest in the wheat harvest season, as it is an exceptional year where the governorate intensified its efforts in coordination with the ministries of Agriculture and supply, to ensure the success of this season. On the other hand , Dr.Gamal Sosa added that that the visit comes as an affirmation of the societal role that played by Benha University to participate in cultivating strategic crops, including wheat, in addition to the use of scientific research to devise new types of agricultural crops to increase production. He also added that the productivity of the feddan this year is greater than the previous years and reaches more than 20 ardebs.
El Qalyubia Governor and BU President inaugurate the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Unit in Moshtohor Agriculture
Major Genera l Abdel Hamid El-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, and Dr. Gamal Sosa, President of Benha University inaugurated the Sustainable Development and Climate Change Unit at the headquarters of Agriculture Faculty in Moshtohor, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Maghraby Iraqi, the Supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zabalawy, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Mrs. Rania Moataz, Assistant Secretary of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and the Faculty of agriculture deputies . The governor of Qalyubia and the University president listened to a detailed explanation from the supervisor of the community service and environmental development sector and the Faculty dean about the services provided by the sustainable development unit in the Faculty and its most important capabilities. Benha University President said that an academic working group has been formed to implement the University's goals, to organize awareness campaigns on the issue of climate change and its effects, and how to deal with these effects at the individual and societal level, through public lectures.

Benha University participated in the activities of the first forum for officials of the Universities Youth Parliament, which was held under auspices of Dr. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Gamal Sosa, President of Benha University, and Dr. Tamer Samir, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Khaled Essawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Tariq Harbi, Director of Families and Initiatives Department, Mustafa Hani Sanad, Youth Parliament Official, and Abdullah Al-Batta, President of the University Students Union. For his part, Prof. Gamal Sosa, President of Benha University, said that the University was keen to participate in the first forum of University youth parliament officials at the level of Egyptian universities, in line with the interests of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic to Prepare young cadres capable of assuming leadership and executive positions, and having a vital role in participating in many major events and occasions and to be the people's representatives in the future by refining their skills and training them to practice political life.
In His Inspection Tour: El Gizawy Inspects the Central Laboratory at Faculty of Science
Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research inspected the central laboratory at Faculty of Science, that visit was according to instruction of Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University president to support scientific research system .It is worth mentioning that Dr. Nasser El Gizawy was accompanied by Dr. Lotfy Abu Salim , the Faculty of Science dean , Dr. Mohamed Haikal , the Faculty deputy and Dr. Eslam Sheha , the executive manager of the central laboratory. Where the laboratory was supported with the latest scientific devices represented in the electronic microscope device equipped with an EDX unit and FTIR equipped with an ATR unit that has granted to the laboratory through the initiative of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology to advance basic sciences to raise capabilities of Faculty of Science laboratories at Egyptian Universities. It is worth mentioning that the laboratory provides its various services from training and examining samples to graduate students and researchers in universities and research centers in Egypt.

Prof. Tamer Samir, Benha University Vice-president for Education and Students' Affairs inspected Benha University hostels at Shoubra to be sure from standard of submitted services for students, so he checked out the hostel' s restaurants and food stores.
It is worth mentioning that, the sudden tour was done according to instruction of Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University president to provide a distinguished service of high quality to students residing in university hostels. On the other hand, Prof. Tamer Samir was accompanied by Dr. Sayed Abd El Wanis, the general supervisor on Benha University hostel and other employees. During his tour, Prof. Tamer Samir confirmed on completing all the necessary preparations, he also listened for students suggestions and complains and confirmed on taking all precautionary measures.
Benha University finishes all Preparation for the Second Semester Exams 2022
Dr. Gamal Sosa , Benha University President said that Benha University has finished all the preparation for the second semester exams that is scheduled to be launched during the current month of May, according to the time map set by the Supreme Council of Universities.
The meeting was held in presence of Dr. Tamer Samir, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Ibrahim Rajeh, Director of the Crisis and Disasters Unit and others. For his part, Dr. Gamal Sosa said that the University administration is keen to follow up exams work and to provide all means of comfort and care for students, noting that exams schedules are being announced and work is being done to prepare committees, to provide a safe environment and a suitable psychological atmosphere for students. Dr. Tamer Samir explained that all precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of students and provide them with comfort, whether inside their Faculties or University hostels, in addition to emphasizing the attendance of observers and faculty members during exams, as well as raising the state of emergency in the medical administration and clinics at faculties and he confirmed on the presence of all medical staff and the provision of medicines and first aid to meet any emergency cases during exams.
