Benha University President Announces Suspension of In-Person Classes Due to Adverse Weather Conditions

Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, has announced the suspension of in-person classes across all faculties on Wednesday and Thursday, with teaching to continue online due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The decision comes in light of forecasts indicating unstable weather, as reported by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority. Dr. El-Gizawy noted that the measure aims to ensure the safety of students and staff while maintaining the continuity of the educational process through online platforms.

He added that the decision excludes medical teams, university security personnel, staff of university dormitories, occupational health and safety departments, on-duty teams, and others whose roles require their physical presence to ensure the effective management of operations within the university and its faculties.

Dr. El-Gizawy further affirmed that university security will implement all necessary measures to safeguard the campus during the suspension period.

Concluding his statement, he expressed his wishes for the safety and well-being of Benha University members and the Egyptian people.
