The University council honors Dr. Mosbeh EL-Kheliy; the youth care department head in appreciation of his exerted efforts in performing his job duties. This goes in accordance with the sidelines of the University council in the presence of prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of students and educational affairs, prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the vice president of environment development and community service, the faculties’ deans, Ms. Shreen Shawky, the university secretary-general, the university council members and the assistant secretary-generals.

Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president announces that there are seven scientific journals in Benha University are highly-ranked as per the Universities supreme council report issued in July, 2023.

Prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizaway, the vice president of post-graduate studies and scientific research announces that these highly-ranked scientific journals are the following; the journal of the faculty of arts, the journal of the faculty of education, the journal of physical education and sport sciences, the journal of the legal and economic thought, the journal of nursing sciences, the journal of veterinary sciences, the journal of medical sciences, the annual journal of agricultural sciences,  the scientific journal of pedagogical and specific studies and researches, the engineering scientific journal, the accounting studies and researches journal, the journal of applied sciences, the journal of humanities and the journal of commercial studies and researches. The Supreme Council of Universities held its regular meeting at the headquarters of Benha University in El-Obour, the meeting was headed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific and in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary of the Council and members of the Council. The council thanked Benha University staff that headed by Dr. Gamal Sosa, Benha University President to host the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities. The Minister of Higher Education confirmed on the readiness of all universities and institutes for the second semester exams for the academic year 2021/2022 .He also stressed the necessity of the commitment of faculty members and their assistants to attend exams to ensure discipline and the successful conduct of exams process. The Minister also stressed that all students must adhere to precautionary and preventive measures throughout their stay on the campus, noting the need to wear a medical mask "the mask", adhere to social distancing and bring all personal and written tools, as well as not Being inside the university campus after completing exams, in order to preserve the safety of students and all other members. The Minister also directed to raise the state of readiness of university hospitals during the exams period at the end of the current academic year. The Minister directed that all faculties should quickly finish announcing the results of the exams at the end of the second semester of the 2021-2022.

Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa , Benha University President and Dr.Amira El Tohamy , the Chairman of the Medical Sector Committee for Physiotherapy at the Supreme Council of Universities have witnessed the meeting of the medical sector on the level of Egyptian Universities which has been held at Benha University .
The meeting has been held in presence of Dr.Walid Tallat Mansour, the acting dean of Physical therapy Faculty at Benha University and other deans of Physical therapy faculties from other universities. In his speech, Prof. Gamal Sosa expressed his happiness that Benha University is hosting the meeting of the Medical Sector Committee for Physiotherapy at the Supreme Council of Universities. He also stressed the important role of physical therapy faculties in general and Physical Therapy Faculty at Benha University in particular, which is a new addition to the medical sector at the University and also It has important role in participating in student activities and medical convoys organized by the university to serve the people of Qalyubia Governorate. Benha University President was also keen to gift the shield of Benha University to Dr.Amira El Tohamy , the Chairman of the Medical Sector Committee for Physiotherapy at the Supreme Council of Universities as appreciation for her honorable person and the renewal of confidence in her as the head of the committee. For her part, Dr.Amira El Tohamy thanked and appreciated Dr. Gamal Sousa for the kind reception and hospitality.

Engineering Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities has approved to establish three new programs at Faculty of Engineering Shoubra where Prof.Dr.Sayed El Kady, the former dean has been succeeded to establish three new programs as following; Communication &Computers, Electrical Engineering and Control and Management of Engineering Sites. The established programs will serve the community and cope with modern technologies which serve the coming generation. He mentioned also that, these programs will serve our country in its projects which support the national income.  

Benha University Council thanks the E-portal for their Excellence in Webometrics 2016 During the meeting of Benha University Council in 31/07/2016; Prof. Dr. Ghazy M.R. Assassa, the Advisor to Benha University President for Information Technology and the University Chief Information Officer “CIO” praised the excellence of the e-portal in Webometrics, July 2016.

It is worth mentioning that Benha University e-portal has got the fourth place at the level of the Egyptian public universities and the fifth place at the level of the Egyptian public and private universities.

The Faculty council has approved the submitted request of the student\Ahmed Hassan Khalil Yusuf about discussing his doctoral thesis on Saturday,30\1\2016.the Faculty council hopes for him best wishes and great success.
