Vision
The Department of Animal Medicine desires to be a distinguished department at the level of Faculty, University and faculties of veterinary medicine on other universities (locally - regionally - globally) through providing an advanced veterinary education.

 Mission

The department wants to contribute in providing a distinguished graduate that able to: -

1. Diagnose and fight the veterinary diseases.

2. Keep animal and public health.

3. Conduct scientific researches according to the values of the community to keep, develop and increase the livestock.

Objectives of the Department of Animal Medicine

 The Department aims to:

1. Provide a distinguished graduate in the field of veterinary medicine that able to face and deal with cases of disease, pests and foreign diseases.

2. Provide graduate that able to conduct scientific researches for solving the problems faced livestock and increase their production.

3. Provide a distinguished graduate that able to meet the needs of the labor market.

4. Participate the Department effectively in community service and environment development. 

Word of the Department Head

The Department of Animal Medicine is one of the most important departments at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, as it contains the subjects of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases which taught by a group of professors and faculty members got doctorate degrees from the United States, Japan, and Germany. The department teaches internal and infectious diseases of ruminants, horses, camels and pets. The faculty members participate in field training for students and in training courses at training centers in different governorates.
