 The colonel/ Abd EL-Hamid EL-Hagan and Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, BU president attend the day of gratitude initiative ceremony of the sanitation persons in the University yesterday evening. This ceremony is organized by the governorate in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Cross Organization and the social solidarity directorate. This is done in the presence of prof.Dr. Mahmoud Eraqi, the supervisor of the community service and the environment development, Eng/ Abd El- Hamid Rakha, the head of the regional union of the non-governmental societies and the chairman of the Red Cross Board in Qulubia, Mr. Khalid Abd EL-Alaim, the deputy of the social solidarity ministry, Ms. Rania Motaz, the secretary-general of the community service and the environment development, prof.Dr. Nermeen Adly, the deputy of the faculty of medicine's deputy of the community service and the environment development, prof.Dr. Amr EL-Dakkany, the executive manager of Benha University's hospitals, Eng/ Ali Abd EL-Sattar, the head of  Benha city council, Mr. Saaed Naguib, the initiative coordinator and the Red Cross organization in Qulubia and House of Parliament members.

Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, the BU president with prof.Dr. Tamer Samir, the vice president of educational and students affairs host the team of national authority of quality assurance and accreditation that is led by prof.Dr. Adel Zein, the professor in the faculty of engineering in Aswan, prof.Dr. Mohamed EL-Ghandour, the professor in the faculty of engineering in Port Said. This is done in the presence of prof.Dr. Ayman EL-Shehaby, the faculty's dean, prof.Dr. Saad Mahmoud Saad, the head of quality assurance and accreditation center, the faculty's deputies, the departments' heads, the programs coordinators in accordance with the renewal of the faculty's accreditation. Prof.Dr. Gamal Sosa, the BU president takes a tour in seven faculties that includes the faculty of engineering/ Benha, the faculty of science, the faculty of medicine, the faculty of arts, the faculty of education, the faculty of nursing, the faculty of physical education and the E-exams center. He was accompanied by the faculties' deans and deputies, and they are prof.Dr. Lofty Abu Salim, the dean of the faculty of science, prof.Dr. Marwa Mustafa, the dean of the faculty of nursing, prof.Dr. Osama Salah, the dean of the faculty of physical education, prof.Dr. Magdy EL-Shahat, the dean of the faculty of education and prof.Dr. Mohamed Abu Arab, the acting dean of the faculty of arts. He also visits the E-exams centers, the central library and the medical skills laboratory with Mr. Refaat Nan, the assistant secretary-general of the administrative affairs.

  As Benha university is keen to carry out the national strategy of climate change 2050 and achieve its core aims which include the fulfillment of the economic sustainable development, Prof.Dr.Gamal Sosa, BU president agrees to raise the amount of the award of" climate change: solutions and suggestions" competition to be 100,000 L.E. It's noteworthy that BU recently launched this competition in cooperation with the scientific research and technology Academy and it is organized by the sector of community service and environment development and the innovation support center in the University.

The meeting was held in presence of Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy, Benha University Vice-president for Post Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Iraqi, the general supervisor of the community service and environmental development sector, Dr. Fatma Abdel Wahab, the director of the strategic planning unit at the University, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation , Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Education, Agriculture, Social Solidarity& Manpower in Qalyubia, Director of the Adult Education Authority, Secretary of the National Council for Women, Director of the Relief Center, Director of the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, Director of Land and Water Department at the Directorate of Agriculture, and Director of Public Relations for Qulubia Irrigation. For his part, Prof.Dr.Nasser El Gizawy said that the University's strategic plan includes 8 strategic goals, as the University seeks to prepare a good graduate whi has ability to compete at labor market , to improve its academic, research and community outcomes and link scientific research with industry and community needs. He also added that the University keen to link its strategic and research plan with the strategic objectives of the state and Egypt's vision for sustainable development 2030
